DAY 1 | LIMA

Begin your incredible adventure at the international airport in the city of Lima, Perú. On your arrival, our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the Miraflores district of the city, which is without doubt one of the most attractive neighbourhoods, found in the Southern sector of Lima City. You can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to rest up or explore this first-class neighbourhood, with its friendly vibe, modern infrastructure and touristic and cultural attractions. Miraflores is found right on the ocean front, overlooking the Pacific, with tree-lined, pedestrian walkways and sophisticated restaurants.

DAY 2 | CITY TOUR OF LIMA

After a Delicious breakfast at your hotel, we will collect you to begin our guided visit of the city. we will take a walk through the principal streets, plazas and Avenues. We will begin with the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, which offers fantastic views over the Pacific Ocean. We will then have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial site from the Lima Culture and in San Isidro, the financial Centre of the city, we can appreciate The Huaca Huallamarca, an ancient pre-Inca site of worship. We will then head to the Plaza de Armas, where we will find the Government Municipal Palace Municipal, The Cathedral. We will then walk to the Santo Domingo Convent, who´s passageways were walked along by San Martín de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima during the 17th Century and where their remains are to this day. We will then take you back to your hotel for the evening.

DÍA 3 | LIMA – CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel, at the indicated time we will pick you up at the hotel to transfer you to the airport and board the flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival our team will be waiting to assist you and take you to the hotel. Later, you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy this great city in the Peruvian Andes, at the time the capital of the Inca Empire.

DAY 4 | CUSCO CITY TOUR AND THE LOCAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES

After breakfast at the pre-arranged time, you will enjoy a guided visit of this charming city, which was once The Inca capital. The tour will begin at The Santo Domingo Convent constructed on the Inca foundations of the Coricancha, one of the most important Inca temples, dedicated to sun worship. The ancient Spanish Chronicles states that the walls of this temple were plated in gold, covered with golden images of people and animals. We will then head to the Cathedral, the most imposing building found on the Plaza de Armas. Afterwards, we will visit the Cusco hills where we can find the Sacsayhuamán fortress, who´s imposing walls offer an impressive panoramic view over Cusco. We will then visit the Qenqo archaeological site, which was used for religious purposes and where it was though that the Incas performed sacrificial offerings for a prosperous agricultural year ahead. Our final visit will be to Puca Pucará, which translates to “strong red”, an archaeological complex used for military purposes, with different areas, plazas, baths, aqueducts and towers. Archaeologists believe the site was used for The Inca´s entourage, while the Inca himself, rested in Tambomachay. After the visit to these magnificent Inca sites, we will take you back to the historic center of Cusco.

DAY 5 | CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel, at the coordinated time we will pick you up at the hotel. You will begin this great adventure by heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, along the route you will make some stops at viewpoints that will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the place, it is time to take unique and incredible photos. You will continue to Pisac Inca and Colonial. Visiting one of the most beautiful Inca archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley, at the top of the mountain overlooking the colonial town of Pisac. Walking tour of the colonial town. Time to shop at the craft market. The tour will then continue in Urubamba, where you will pause for lunch. Let's charge your batteries! In the afternoon you will visit the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, important for the Incas as a military, religious and agricultural center. You will visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Ñusta baths, the Temple of the Sun among other places of interest. Postcards from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Return to Cusco.

DAY 6 | CUSCO/ MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

At the pre-arranged time we will take our car to the train station in Poroy or Ollantaytambo, depending on the time of year. We will ride through the Sacred Valley on our way to the one of The Seven Wonders of The World. On arrival to Aguas calientes, a member of our team will be waiting to take you to the bus that goes up to the site of Machu Picchu, and offering us a spectacular view of the river Urubamba that forms this famous canyon. The Lost City of The Incas, Machu Picchu, will receive us with its impressive terraces, Inca stairways and ceremonial sites. Embrace the energy emanating from this magical citadel. After our guided tour of Machu Picchu, we will enjoy lunch in one of the best restaurants in Aguas Calientes. At the indicated time we will return by train to the train station of Poroy or Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting to take us to our Cusco Hotel in the historic center.

DAY 7 | CUSCO – VINICUNCA – CUSCO

Vinicunca, better known as The Rainbow Mountain, is a natural work of art standing at an elevation of 5.200 metres above sea-level. The different tones of this mountain are due to the accumulation of minerals deposited over time and elongated by the water, wind and humidity of this mountainous region. We will begin this adventure to The Rainbow Mountain, leaving early in the morning from Cusco, leaving between 4.00 - 4.30 am in the direction of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast. We will then continue along the way to the starting point of the trek, where we will receive an informative briefing on behalf of the guide, to begin this incredible trek surrounded by stunning Andean scenery with the head of the mountain range, The magnificent Ausangate, considered one of the most important and sacred mountains of Cusco, by The Inca civilization. We will arrive at the foot of this impressive Rainbow Mountain in all its majestic glory and we will have a few minutes at the viewpoint of the mountain to take some awe-inspiring photos and have a well-earned rest. We will then begin our return trek to Phullawasipata to board our private transport which will take us to Cusipata for a delicious lunch. After lunch, we will begin our journey back to the city of Cusco.

DAY 8 | CUSCO – HUMANTAY LAKE – CUSCO 

We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 am y las 4:30 am to take a 2 hour journey to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast. We will then continue on our way to Soraypampa (4326 m), where we will prepare for our hike to Humantay Lake. We will hike for approximately 2 hours uphill, where we can appreciate spectacular countryside, snow covered mountains and the occasional local person until we reach the stunning Humantay Lake.  We will then begin our descent along the Trail for approximately 2 hours, to arrive once more at Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting for us, to take us for a delicious lunch. Afterwards, our transport will take us on the return journey back to Cusco, arriving between 5:00-5:30 pm, where we will finish our incredible adventure.

DAY 9 | CUSCO 

Today, we will say goodbye to Peru and we will have breakfast and check-out, before we head out to the airport. Our team will be waiting to take you for your onward flight back home. We sincerely hope that you have passed some incredible days, full of adventure, new experiences and unforgettable times in Peru and that you return home with Peruvian souvenirs, a lot of photos and incredible anecdotes to tell on this journey to magical Peru.
