DAY 1 | LIMA

Begin your incredible adventure at the international airport in the city of Lima, Perú. On your arrival, our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the Miraflores district of the city, which is without doubt one of the most attractive neighbourhoods, found in the Southern sector of Lima City. You can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to rest up or explore this first-class neighbourhood, with its friendly vibe, modern infrastructure and touristic and cultural attractions. Miraflores is found right on the ocean front, overlooking the Pacific, with tree-lined, pedestrian walkways and sophisticated restaurants.

DAY 2 | LIMA TO CUSCO AND CITY TOUR WITH LOCAL RUINS

After breakfast in the hotel, we will collect you from your hotel at the pre-arranged time to take you to the Lima airport for your flight to Cusco. On arrival, our team will be waiting for you at the Cusco airport to help you and take you to your Cusco hotel, after which, you will enjoy a tour of this charming city that was once the capital of the Inca Empire. The tour will begin at The Santo Domingo Convent constructed on the Inca foundations of the Coricancha, one of the most important Inca temples, dedicated to sun worship. The ancient Spanish Chronicles states that the walls of this temple were plated in gold, covered with golden images of people and animals. We will then head to the Cathedral, the most imposing building found on the Plaza de Armas. Afterwards, we will visit the Cusco hills where we can find the Sacsayhuamán fortress, who´s imposing walls offer an impressive panoramic view over Cusco. We will then visit the Qenqo archaeological site, which was used for religious purposes and where it was though that the Incas performed sacrificial offerings for a prosperous agricultural year ahead. Our final visit will be to Puca Pucará, which translates to “strong red”, an archaeological complex used for military purposes, with different areas, plazas, baths, aqueducts and towers. Archaeologists believe the site was used for The Inca´s entourage, while the Inca himself, rested in Tambomachay. After the visit to these magnificent Inca sites, we will take you back to the hotel for the evening.

DAY 3 | MARAS, MORAY & CORCCOR COMMUNITY – MACHU PICCHU

After breakfast at the coordinated time, you will enjoy a guided tour of the few frequented treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It will begin in Maras, where the salt lagoons create a dazzling setting, the contrast of its white wells with the green of the valley is imposing and unmissable for a spectacular postcard of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will continue towards Moray, where the view is impressive thanks to colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater, its usefulness: recreating 20 different types of microclimates, a measurement that ensured the agricultural production of the empire. You will continue the tour visiting Corccor, an ancient Andean community where you can appreciate the livestock and agriculture of the place, in addition the local residents will show you their techniques of weaving and dyeing traditional textiles, enjoy the magical experience by sharing with the families of the community some After your daily activities, enjoy a typical lunch in the area. At the end, you will be directed to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Our staff will be waiting for your arrival to assist you and take you to the hotel.

DAY 4 | MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

The most anticipated day has arrived, at the coordinated time our staff will assist you to board the transport that will ascend an intricate path giving you a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that gives shape to the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome you with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial enclosures and urban areas. The energy emanating from all over the place. After a guided tour, you will have lunch at one of the area restaurants. At the coordinated time, you will return by train to the Ollantaytambo station, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to the hotel.

DAY 5 | CUSCO - LA PAZ

At the pre-arranged time, we iwll collect you from your hotel to take you to the Cusco Airport for our onward flight to the City of La Paz in Bolivia. In arrival in La Paz, we will take you to your hotel in the centre, where you will have the rest of the day at leisure, to head out shopping, take an additional tour, other activities or simply rest in this impressive city. We highly recommend a visit of La paz and the Moon Valley.

DAY 6 | LA PAZ -UYUNI-COLCHANI 

At the previously arranged time, we will take you to the aiport for our onward flight to Uyuni. Once in Uyuni we will collect you from the airport to visit the Salar de Uyuni and The Incahuasi Island. This impressive island can be found at the heart of the salt flats and is the largest group of islands that represent an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated by a unique species of cactus that can grow up to 12 metres high.and offers an impressive panoramic view over these magnificent salt flats. We will enjoy our lunch /boxed lunch before we head to the small village of Coquesa. After this visit we will head to the magnificent Tunupa Volcano and visit the impressive perfectly preserved Coquesa Mummies. In the afternoon, we will finish our tour at the Sal Luna Salada Hotel, where we will have dinner and spend the night. 

*** During the rainy season, which lasts from November through March, the salt flats become flooded, in which case we will visit the train cemetery, in the town of Colchani, where they still use traditional methods of salt extraction. As we enter the salt flats you will be able to appreciate the salt mountains and “the salty eyes”, which are impressive geological formations found in the area. We will pass through the Salar as far as the eye can see, surrounded by stunning landscapes, which in rainy season, turns into a giant white mirror, where the bright blue sky is perfectly reflected and which appears to be floating in the air. The Salar is a Paradise for photographers for the effects you can produce due to the lack of scale on these magnificent salt flats. We will enjoy a boxed lunch in the middle of The Salar and in the afternoon we will had to our hotel. 

We advise you to bring sandals so that you can enjoy the war waters of the salt flats.

DAY 7 | COLCHANI -UYUNI-LA PAZ-LIMA 

After breakfast, we will head to the Uyuni airport to take our flight back to la Paz and then on to Lima. On arrival, we will be picked up and taken to our hotel in the city. You will have the rest of the day at leisure and we suggest a visit to the centre of Lima: 

“Begin with the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, which offers fantastic views over the Pacific Ocean. We will then have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial site from the Lima Culture and in San Isidro, the financial Centre of the city, we can appreciate The Huaca Huallamarca, an ancient pre-Inca site of worship. We will then head to the Plaza de Armas, where we will find the Government Municipal Palace Municipal, The Cathedral. We will then walk to the Santo Domingo Convent, who´s passageways were walked along by San Martín de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima during the 17th Century and where their remains are to this day.”.

DAY 8 | LIMA 

Today, we will say goodbye to Peru and we will have breakfast and check-out, before we head out to the airport. Our team will be waiting to take you for your onward flight back home.
